Description

The house has two double bedrooms and one fairly large single, one bathroom with a separate toilet, living room, dining room, and a country-feel, galley-style kitchen. There is a front garden with ample driveway and space for three cars. Also a fairly large back garden – the latter with table and chairs and portable barbecue in the shed. Just five minutes down the road is a Coop that sells good quality food and other sundries, plus a huge Tesco’s just a mile away. Kenley is also served by a couple of restaurants and a pub, with South Croydon just a two minute drive away, where you will find an extensive selection of restaurants. Croydon has several cinemas – the David Lean is a particular favourite of ours – a small, intimate theatre, showing independent films.

Property Type: House (detached / semi-detached)
Responsibilities: Feeding Neo at least twice a day. Neo normally eats three times a day- morning, lunchtime and just before bed - as I work from home. When I am out for the day however, I leave him his lunch too before I go, which is fine. Changing the cat litter each morning. Neo is an indoor cat, so it is important that he does not go out unsupervised. I walk him on his lead around the garden every afternoon. If you feel comfortable, it would be great for you to continue this. He is very good and is no problem - the only difficulty might be if a female cat comes into the garden - this is rarely a problem, but in this case, if he looks aggravated, I simply pick him up and bring him inside, and he is fine. He has his lunch after the walk, and food is always his priority, so he doesn't mind his walk being cut short! Linked to the previous point, if large windows are opened, then the door must be shut, in case Neo should decide to climb out the window. He rarely does this, but we close the door in case. Obviously, large windows should also be closed before going out. Small windows are fine left open. That's it! Neo is an absolute treasure - much loved, and very popular!
Points of interest: Supermarket, Public Transport, Cafes & Restaurants, Cinema, Theatre, Live Music Venue, Gym, Public Swimming Pools, Pubs, Bars, Nightclubs, Hiking Trails
Things to know: Neo may well miss me while I am away, and cry, as he is with me pretty much 24/7 when I am home. For this reason, I would like a house-sitter who loves cats and will give him the attention he is used to. All he needs is a cuddle/ attention, and he will soon settle down - he's extraordinarily patient and accepting, given his age, and easily comforted. I have used a cattery and also neighbours have looked after him in the past, with no problems at all, but I would prefer someone here this time, so he has some company - even if only for part of the day.
