Description

OUR PETS

We have two rescued cats, brother and sister, who are 2 years old. Reuben is incredibly affectionate and will flip himself over on his back to be held like a baby. He loves attention and will come and find you wherever you are. Maya is more reserved and prefers to sit beside you rather than on you. She has a very quiet miaw compared to Reuben and has a very sweet nature.

They can come and go as they please but we close the kitchen door at night to keep them both downstairs.

OUR HOME

We have a comfortable spacious family home in the market town of Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire, near London. We are offering 2 large double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is communal and looks over the large garden and there is a comfortable room for relaxing in front of the television or reading. The road is quiet and leafy and a short walk to the town and railway station where you can get a train to London and Oxford. There is plenty of room in the drive for cars. Great WiFi and all the modern amenities you would need in a home

OUR LOCATION

The town of Beaconsfield has a lot to recommend. There is an old town and a new town. Both have a lot of eateries and shops and it’s lovely to wander around.

The Royal Standard Pub considered by many to be the oldest pub in England. it is also a short walk from the house, it has a roaring fire in the winter and a lovely friendly atmosphere. There are some lovely walks from the pub across the fields.

Walking and hiking – We are located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills and there are many public footpaths with some fabulous walks. We can recommend our favourites.

Literary spots – Around Beaconsfield there are a few museums for some famous and historical literary authors – the poet Milton lived nearby in Chalfont St Giles, Roald Dahl, the children’s author lived in Great Missenden, and Mary Shelly lived in nearby Marlow – also worth a visit.

National Trust properties nearby – Definitely try to make time to visit some of these fabulous and historic manor houses if you can – Hughenden Manor (High Wycombe), Cliveden (Taplow), Waddesdon Manor (nr Aylesbury).
