Bedar,Almeria,Spain:mall dog and a cat 18 May 2022
I live in Bedar, Almería, Spain. It is a picturesque small village, approx 20 mins drive from the lovely Mojacar beach.
I have a bright one bedroom top floor ( 1 flight of stairs) apartment with a large balcony and stunning views. Most morning we enjoyed wonderful sunrises, as I have lovely views down to the sea.
I have a small terrier type dog approx 2 and half years old called Daisy, and a large cat called Danny boy. They get on very well together and are very friendly.
We live immediately above a supermarket, a chemist and a couple of bars. There is also a medical centre in the village. The village is populated with about 50% Spanish and 50% internationals who are mainly English and European.
Bedar is a very quiet pretty place to live, 400 metres above sea level with stunning views. The bus comes once a day and so ideally you should have your own vehicle. The nearest towns are Mojacar Pueblo (popular with tourists), Los Gallardos (close by with weekly market on a Tuesday), Turre ( 10 min drive away and a market on a Friday morning).
Almeria is the nearest airport ( 40 min by car) – there are shuttle buses from the airport to Los Gallardos. I would be happy to collect you and help you settle in showing you around the area and our home.
