Description

I am looking for one person or couple (with good references) to look after my place and animals and do some gardening. Start date asap for a couple of weeks. Accommodation is in my cottage next to the chateau. You can use my car while here.

About the animals: We have one lovely dog, one cat and one chicken. The dogs: a labrador/springer mix – she loves to have a daily walk. Cat is gentle, and the chicken friendly! They are lovely.

It is very quiet here, surrounded by countryside in a beautiful part of the world so you should enjoy exploring the region. It’s lovely and tranquil. There are a couple of good local restaurants very close by for affordable lunches. There are lots of walks around about in the spectacular surroundings.

If this sounds interesting for you, please get in touch. Thanks so much!

Best wishes

Ruth

Property Type: Large estate
Responsibilities: Feeding the dog, cat and chicken daily. Taking the dog for a walk. Checking around the chateau and garden daily to make sure all is ok. Doing a bit of weeding and pruning in front and back terrace. If it rains a lot, there are a few buckets and containers in the chateau attic and barn that will need checking and emptying from time to time as there are a few leaks.

Things to know: I can pick you up from the airport on arrival and take you back when you leave. Ryan Air fly from various UK airports including London Stanstead and Bristol. The nearest airport is Brive-1 hour's drive; the next closest is Limoges-1.45 hours drive; Bergerac is 2.5 hours drive and Toulouse is 3 hours drive. I will need a lift to the airport when I go - will probably leave the day after you arrive so that I can show you around etc. And I'll need to be picked up when I get back.
