Chilterns village large house with easy access to London. Two small dogs – 12 Oct-22 Oct (we are home for 3 days during this time)
Description
Our home and surroundings
We live on a small country lane and are surrounded by woodland and fields with a friendly neighbour on one side. We have direct access from our back garden into woodland, which is frequented by local dogwalkers, or you can just cross the lane and explore our own private woodlands and fields. During April and May, you will see the bluebells in their full glory, followed by the daisy field in June.
There is a large garden at the rear of the property that is completely secure for the dogs and has a large koi pond and natural swimming pool, we also have an outdoor eating area for those sunny days, as well as a garden pavilion with heating for the cooler evenings.
The house is large with plenty of parking. The three guest rooms are all doubles with two en-suite and there is also a large family bathroom. We have a large kitchen with a breakfast bar, large dining table and sofa. During October-April we typically use the Everhot oven and for the rest of the year there is an induction hob and combi-oven. There is a separate dining room and a large sitting room with open wood fire, TV and bar. We also have two rooms we use to work in that are zoom friendly with desks etc. If at the end of the day dogs don’t wear you out, then you can make use of our small gym and sauna and then chill out to watch a film in the cinema room.
We do have WIFI but the speed, although plenty to stream movies and make zoom calls, is typically circa 7-8MB.
We have a cleaner visit every week.

Responsibilities: Our twins, one boy and one girl are nearly three years old. The boy is very gentle and will bring you a present pretty much every time you appear, although he will require the toy back. Our girl is the more nervous of the two and takes a while to get to know people, she really loves a cuddle. They are very close and play together a lot; racing each other to catch any squirrels that dare to visit the garden.
We have a large collection of Koi carp, which depending on the time of year may need feeding.

Things to know: We are going to a wedding in Barcelona on the weekends of 14-15 October leaving early to enjoy a longer break. The following weekend we leave on 20 October for a wedding in Bristol. We could split the sit with two groups of people but might suit someone who want to go away to explore other areas and come back again. Or use our house as a base for exploring the local area - Tuesday 17 - Friday 20 October.
