City Flat in Upper Town Gibraltar with Rina & Toby March 30 – April 4
We have a lovely home on the hill above the main town area of Gibraltar. You will need to enjoy stairs and walking to enjoy staying in our place in Gibraltar. We are not in a modern area, but our home is recently modernised and has all the amenities that make life easy and enjoyable including a wonderful kitchen, state of the art espresso machine, washer and dryer and good water pressure with plenty of hot water. Our puppies love their treks around town and across the border into Spain. They are experts at walking across the airport runway, getting through passport control and customs. 🙂
We like to take small weekend trips and some longer trips both for business and pleasure, so it is great to know that there are others who are interested in visiting here and helping take care of our pups while enjoying the sights of Gibraltar and getting a peek at this distinctive culture and environment.
Rina and Toby are our two dogs. Rina is a Cocker Spaniel and Toby is a terrier mix. They both love treats, walks, and snuggles. They are older dogs but young in spirit. Rina has trouble seeing and hearing, but her nose is spot on. Toby is very alert to sound but doesn’t care as much for food, so don’t be surprised if he decides not to eat a meal. Both dogs are in physically great shape and are always excited for a walk. They do need three walks per day and shouldn’t go too many hours (5-6) without a pee break during the day. Toby will likely greet you at the door barking because he hears everything and Rina usually finds a comfy, warm place to sleep while you are gone and may take a while to figure out that you have returned. When you are around, both often love sitting with you and enjoying some cuddles. Rina will certainly let you that she is hungry and deserving of more food – whether or not it’s dinner time. The two are super sweet and easy to take care of!
Along the Castle Ramp – at the top of the escalator above the elevator… it really is surreal to describe where we live. Like the south of Spain, Gibraltar is relatively temperate with warm humid summers and mild winters. We get a few more cloudy days than the Costa del Sol because Gibraltar has it’s own cloud… look up the pictures on google images.
The house has 3 bedrooms but one is a dressing room. The main room has a large king size comfortable bed and the second bedroom has a single that converts to double.
High speed Internet with wifi repeaters throughout. Desks, whiteboards, comfortable living space, great light and a wonderful fully furnished kitchen with a top of the line espresso maker. Enjoy beautiful sunsets with views out to the Gibraltar bay and even across to Africa on clear days.
Steps down you will find the pedestrian hustle and bustle of Main Street and Casemates Square. We will share all the local haunts that we love — but we’ve only lived here a few months so it’s still a process of discovery for us.
