HOUSESIT DATES
August 15th to September 7th 2023 approx. I would like to be here a couple of days when they arrive, to help them get used to the house and BB my dog (who loves everyone 🙂

HOUSESITTER/S
My petsitters need with USA experience as much as most Brits would love to escape to a ranch in Texas they seldom understand the very different lifestyle . Long term is essential – I do need the longer term pet sitters who work from home, writer, artist, digital (Starlink satellite) or ideally retired and healthy for up to 90 /100 days at a time.

Most of my pet care needs will be approx 3 months . My job is that I take care of Newborn babies in private homes for a month to 3 months of 24 hour care 🙂 usually not in Texas, so I need a very reliable petsitter who loves nature and can live in rural countryside on 57 acres .

OUR LOCATION
Living alone on a small ranch ( 57 acres is small in Texas ) approx 40 mins drive to Paris Texas, 50 mins to Texarkana and 3 hours drive to Dallas. I live alone which means I take BB with me when I go out as if anything happened to me nobody would know or be home for him . So the person takes BB in the truck and does quick errands . It’s hot here starting May Texas which means the person has to be very aware and careful not to leave him in the truck more than a few mins and park in shade. Planning is important and most shopping can be ordered online from Amazon 🙂

As we are based in rural NE Texas, we have a lot of nature and stormy weather ( so someone who is aware and independent is needed) not a wimp as Texas fields do have things we don’t like! E.g. coyotes, snakes, bugs. So prevention of issues is important and why Texans wear good boots! I’m happy to buy my petsitter good boots lol.

MY PET
I just have one sweet, large smart chocolate Labrador. I don’t leave him home alone. That’s my problem mostly because it’s a very low population area and locals don’t care for animals like we do . The culture in Texas is well known for its lack of animal rights. I treat my dog very very well 🙂

BACK UP PETSITTER
I do have 1 person in a nearby town 20 mins away that can care for BB if needed occasionally so that’s my back up plan for the pet sitter.

Other than that alone in USA in a rural ranch area, just fields and nature . BB ( Big Buster Brown ) is my buddy and I hate leaving him but can’t take him to most jobs and I only work 1 or 2 of them a year so will always need longer term pet sitters .
