Flat, Warsaw, Poland, 1 dog. 4 to 5 week, Jan – Feb 2020
We have a lovely, old flat in a leafy suburb of Warsaw and a cuddly, young, labradoodle cross dog who needs someone to keep her company.
We will be going on a cycling tour somewhere warm, but cannot take Ewa with us.
The flat has good proportions, with high ceilings and great heating. In the 60m2, there is a bedroom, lounge and large kitchen with everything that you could need . We are currently finishing off major renovations to the kitchen and bathroom, so all should be perfect by January.
There is a protected nature park 200m from our front door and a lovely large lake. Why not join the locals who take therapeutic dips in the frozen waters!
City transport runs day and night, with buses 5 to 10 mins walk away – dogs travel free with a muzzle and Ewa is well used to them.
The city bristles with energy, with with great museums, events , cafes, restaurants and night life.
A good friend can take Ewa for a couple of days, here and there, if you want to explore the country. Trains to Gdansk or Krakow are frequent and good value.
Ewa takes some time to relax with people who she does not know. Initially, she prefers females. It would be very beneficial if the any potential house-sitter could either arrive a few days earlier than we leave (no firm date set yet) or visit Warsaw before January to meet Ewa and take her for some fun walks. (I recently left her for 5 days with a male petsitter at his home and she was not happy at all 😑)
