House, South East London., one dog and one cat, 2/12/23-19/12/23
Description
We are looking for someone to look after our home and our beloved pets while we are away visiting family the first two weeks in December ’23 (see precise dates above). We have a three bedroomed semi detached Edwardian house with front and back garden. Front garden has a large driveway, so you are welcome to bring a car. The house is very warm and welcoming – as are our pets.
Property Type: House (detached / semi-detached)
Responsibilities: We just ask that you feed the dog and cat three times a day, and generally enjoy their company - they are lovely to have around. We have a regular dog walker who can be contacted if you want to go out. The cat is self sufficient as he is an outdoor cat, so food can be left for him when going out.
Recycling day is on a Monday, so if the bins get full, you can put these out Sunday night.
Just generally make yourselves at home and enjoy the surroundings!
Points of interest:
Public Transport, Cafes & Restaurants, Cinema, Pubs, Bars
Things to know: Where we live in Kenley is quite quiet and surrounded by greenery, even though conveniently located on the A22! (The house has a large driveway so is quite far back from the road.) We have a pleasant and large park in the road just a few yards away (Bourne Park) where I walk the dog - and the cat accompanies us sometimes!, plus woods and Kenley Aerodrome also in walking distance. Public transport is great - 8 mins walk to Kenley Station with two trains every half hour to London, plus bus stop just two minutes down the road. Central Croydon is also 15 minutes away on the train. There is a lovely intimate cinema called the David Lean in Croydon Clocktower (Central Croydon) which shows high quality independent and foreign films - just 10 rows of 10 seats and only £8 to get in, so great value for money. The Everyman Theatre is also a favourite haunt - just 17 minutes' drive away. A favourite thing to do is to sit in the garden room (see photo above) and enjoy a cup of coffee and a book in a 'woodland' environment, as it's surrounded by fir trees. Very apt for December!
