Timing – We favour sitters arriving a day prior to our departure to show you the ropes (property and dogs), have a meal together and for you to leave only the day after we arrive, if it’s a late arrival flight.
Long term housesit Cardigan in Wales, we can be flexible with our dates at the moment. The timing could be anything from 5+ weeks to 3 months – tentative dates subject to securing Sitters and flights availability.

Your experience – We’re seeking experienced, responsible and dog loving houseitters! We’ve had couples, teams of two, singles, and families with children.); small families will be considered.
Dog lovers – We can offer free accommodation in exchange for the TLC of our loving three middle aged pups. We are looking for Retriever lovers, with experience of caring for multiple Dogs (2 Labrador Retrievers males+ 1 Flat-coated Retriever female).
Our dogs (2 boys and 1 girl) are healthy, house and lead trained, sociable and good-natured. They enjoy walks and play but otherwise are very low key; they have a straight forward daily routine.
Responsible for the dogs – We fully understand that visiting the region and sight-seeing will be a natural desire but ask kind consideration to not leave our pups on their own, unattended, for extensive periods at any one time and/or on consecutive days.
Countryside lovers – This is an ideal sitting opportunity for genuine countryside. Our property is set in peaceful countryside, not far from all amenities with picturesque towns and the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline just 15 minutes away. this is important to consider for our Long term housesit Cardigan is near but not easily walkable.
Countryside setting with beautiful south facing views – large field and walks on our doorstep, so you can enjoy the peaceful scenery in privacy, yet be close to civilisation if that appeals.
Our location – (2-3 miles from nearest town) – a car is very convenient but not essential. We have private parking. Use of our car may be possible but we cannot guarantee our insurance company will accept to cover foreign DLs – it is a case by case evaluation. Buses run fairly frequently and the bus stop is only 1/2 mile away with routes to various towns and cities. Tesco supermarket do online orders and home deliveries.

Our Home & Location
Rural small holding –> 12 acres of land. Only > 2 acres is usable fenced land with stables and a secure paddock area for the dogs adjacent to our home. Our home is not luxurious yet it is very comfortable with all mod cons. The house is a stand alone property with two bedrooms, one complete bathroom with shower and bath, one utility toilet, large kitchen, lounge, living room, laundry room, stables, paddock, and a garage (for storage). There is a large parking area. It has fabulous south facing views and country lanes right on our doorstep. It is a safe location.
Facilities at home – We have 3G WiFi (in Wales only cities have 4G), Freeview TV. Our white goods include: dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, hob/ oven. Other home comforts include central heating, comfy sofas and queen sized beds.
Our Guest bedroom is ready to welcome dog loving folks (plenty of storage for your personals, fresh linen and towels supplied. We also always make sure to leave bathroom, bedroom and kitchen cupboards, fridge/ freezer with ample space for Sitters’ personals).
Our master bedroom may be used but only a couple of drawers and shelves and hanging space will be free as the rest stores our personal belongings. However, there is no shortage of storage space, so you will not need to live from your suitcases.
Home maintenance – We ask that you please maintain the house and grounds, keeping them clean, organised and tidy. We have a very low maintenance arrangement, so this should be achievable.
Proximity to amenities – within 2-4 miles. We have stunning beaches like Tresaith which is only 15 minutes away, also there are many picturesque towns, casgtles and a lovely coastline for walking/ cycling paths, pubs/ cafes by the beaches where you can view dolphins.
Nearest village – 2 miles away; the next town is 8 miles away. Medical centre and chemists are 2 miles away. this is a great region with gorgeous places for leisure rides, lovely walks, horse riding, archery, sports centre with swimming pool, dancing and te
