Long term housesit March – April 2021 Almeria SPAIN – 5 Dogs

Description

We are a newly retired couple, that now wish to take the opportunity to travel across Spain. We have a large modernised Cortijo, with home comforts, inc. multi culture/language television stations. Solar hot water, private garden with Jacuzzi, outside kitchen and BBQ area. We are surround by mountains and trees. The house has a good WIFI connection.

Very tranquil and private, ideal for relaxation, painting and walking. We have 3 hectares of our own land to explore.

Main town is 30 mins by car, local village 15mins and coast 45 mins. We have various weekly markets and there are lots of places to visit, inc. the monastery 15 mins away, caves 40 mins away etc it is multi cultural area, English, Spanish, Belgium, Dutch etc. Spanish speaking not necessary.

We have 5 independent rescue dogs. 2 Australian Sheep dogs and 3 Jack Russell type. They are split with the big dogs in one area and little ones together. They have their own runs and have their own room within a separate casita from the main house/garden. They rise in the morning at 7am to be let out and fed, they play all day, coming in for siestas if weather changes. They all have separate cages, and need no prompting to go back to bed and sleep! In winter months they go to bed at 7pm and approx 9pm when warmer, you then don’t hear a peep till the morning, as long as they have their treats at bedtime! They are fed once a day and will graze their food all day.
