LONG TERM HOUSESITTERS – We need long term housesitters to care for our home in France and our beloved pets.

WE ARE a British professional couple Susie and Steve, now living in France. Our grown up children live away from home so we like to visit them for long periods when we can, and we need petsitters. We left the UK and took our family pets with us to live in France a couple of years ago.

OUR HOUSESIT – Our home is a rural farmhouse that we are modernising. We have a new kitchen and we are progressing with the rest of the house. As a home is well equipped with all mod cons plus wifi and satellite TV. We have 3 wood burners, wood is directly stored near the house.

OUR LOCATION – Our nearest village Charroux (with boulangerie, post office and pharmacy) is 5km away, and Civray is 10 km away. Savigne is 9km away, and that’s where you’ll find supermarkets, all manner of shops and restaurants and the nearest doctor. Paris is 3 hours from Poitiers by train. By car it is 4 hours.

PROPERTY – Swimming pool above ground. Orchards all around our property, apples, pears, plums, almonds, peach trees a dream for gardeners. We have a pond on the property for wildlife. It is fenced off, and 15 – 20 metres in diameter.

LOCATION – The nearest cities within an hour’s drive Poitiers, Angouleme and Limoges. Bordeaux is a 2 hour drive away. You can arrive by ferry via La Rochelle.

FOR NATURE LOVERS – We are spoiled with a large selection of wildlife and especially birds all over our property and indeed this region of France. On our property we are lucky to have many hedgehogs, owls, woodpeckers and many other varieties of birds and animals to enjoy.
