Summer Housesitting 11 – 21 August ELCHE Costa Blanca SPAIN 2 dogs 2 cats
Willow is our 15 year old black mongrel, she is a medium sized dog who is deaf, extremely loving and adores cuddles! Alfie is 13 years old, white Westie, however he still thinks hes a puppy. He loves everyone and likes to follow people around the house and garden. Neither dogs would need walking particularly in the summer as it is too hot but in the winter Alfie enjoys a short walk. Lilly and Tilly are black cats that are sisters who do not like each other but do like the dogs and everyone else. We have a large garden that is completely private and secure so the animals are able to have total access as there is a dog door into the house so they are free to come and go without disturbing anyone.
We have a large villa with a private pool (unguarded) offering the following accommodation: 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with bunk beds, 1 bedroom currently used as a second lounge with a double sofa bed and en suite shower room/WC, also a family bathroom. There is also a separate detached triple bedded annex with en suite. We have a large outside terrace at the front and side of the villa used for dining and relaxing in the shade. This is near the outside kitchen and gas BBQ area. Towards the rear of the property is the swimming pool, shower and another bathroom with hot shower and toilet. We have air conditioners and central heating. To enter the property via electric gates and a private parking area. The villa is situated on a small Spanish urbanisation which has communal tennis courts, 5 a side football pitch and 25 metre swimming pool.
Own transport is required and can be easily hired from the airport or nearby towns.
WiFi throughout property and UK TV is available.
By car we are 10 minutes from Alicante airport, 10 minutes from stunning beaches such as Urbanova or Arenales which feature miles of golden sand, restaurants and bars. Santa Pola (also only 10 mins drive away), is a popular place with locals in the summer with many restaurants and bars featuring specialities such as paella and fish dishes. From here you can take a boat trip to the tiny Island of Tarbarca situated in a marine nature reserve which has wonderful snorkelling. On the outskirts of Santa Pola are the salt lakes which attract a wide variation a bird life particularly flamingos. Many avid bird watchers come to this area. Alicante and Elche are both old Spanish cities, and Elche cathedral is worth a visit, Elche is a world heritage site for the amount of palm trees in this area and has beautiful parks and squares that not many tourists tend to visit.
There are a number of golf courses in this area, El Plantio in Alicante, Alenda near Elche, La Marquesa Golf in Rojales and many more!
