I was born in New York and lived in the US during formative years, though was raised a European in the suburbs of New York. My mother had been Berlin’s youngest choreographer before WW2, escaping to the US before hostilities began. After graduating from College, I moved to England for 28years. There I became a producer for British TV. Returning to the US in 1992 I eventually built the largest horse facility on Martha’s Vineyard. Here we trained horses, gave lessons and I lived above the barn dealing with nigh-time animal welfare issues myself – e.g. colic and horses getting cast. Sadly, after 22 years I’ve sold the farm and have been travelling in Europe this last year. House petsitting appeals because I have had animals all my life with dogs, cats and horses always around. I miss them terribly and petsitting is therefore a great joy to me.
